I don't think they let anybody know, until after the fact. What bothers me the most, though, is that my wife and I were just talking about him last night. Our son showed us a new video released a few days ago, and my wife commented that he was looking old. She's been a Bowie fan all of her life. I made the comment that it's going to be a punch in the gut to her when he passes, and then he does. Seems rather prophetic that this was the last video of his released before his death
