Thinking ahead about alarm with keyless entry

Mine is keyless entry only. Cost me nothing. Years ago my bro in law gave me a controller with key fobs for my 2001 Stratus. I couldn't get it to work so I shelved it. My son put a system in his '74 Satellite which came with 4 actuators. I used the two extras from his kit with the controller I had put away. I found a great location for the actuators in the doors and it was pretty easy. I've got photos of where I mounted them but I'm out of town for a week. I've had a couple people at work look at me when I unlock the doors and then look at the car and back at me and say, "I didn't think they had keyless entry back then." It's a great investment of time.

When thinking electrical, also think about switching your headlamps to relays too. I'm a photographer so I measured the output before and after with my meter. I also went to sealed beam type halogen lamps replacing the 6014 oem lamps with 6024 and with it all increased the output x4 on my meter. My headlamps now stand up to my wife's 2013 Subaru and those are intense. I drive to and from work in the dark and have to think about deer. My vision is fantastic now even to the sides.
