65 D100. picked up a new toy today..

Great looking sweptline! The patina is just right, but yeah, the tires have to go. Tell me, how does a solid front axle truck like that ride? Is it bone-jarring on the road, or not too bad? I'm strongly covsideribg adding a D100 to the herd, but the front suspension I'm concerned won't be all that nice to drive. Not worried about the lack of power steering, but every old truck I've ever owned has had IFS.

having never driven a straight axle truck before i was expecting it to be harsh and all over the road..

i was surprised as to how straight it drove. ride is a lot better hen i expected too. not that it compares to anything with IFS bit not near as bad as i thought it would be. the manual steering isn't hard to turn either. but you do have to turn the wheel a few more times then something more modern to make a simple turn..
