Does anyone know of any all mopar car shows within a 250 mile radius of Illinois? I have been to Farmington, Minnesota and Belvidere, Illinois shows and Mopars on the Mississippi show in Iowa. Looking for something new.
 
Nats in Columbus in August, maybe a bit more than 250 miles, but not much more.
 
thanks, i was at the nationals 13 years ago in ohio and was not happy with the dents put in my car, and all the dust, i thought it was a better show when it was moved to st.louis
i was told that monster mopar weekend was going to put a show on in st.louis this year but im not sure if it is true.
is there any mopar shows in iowa area? or Missouri
just want to go to a new show?
 
The nats is something to see if you're not there to bracket race. It's truthfully quite the car show with a ridiculously awesome turnout. The poorly run bracket program is another story altogether...but from a Size standpoint, its pretty nice.

but anyways, whatever you do, do NOT get suckered into the "Mopar Expo" in columbus. What a Joke... I drove 2 hours for it and was furious i wasted the gas, literally a room about 1/2 the size of a HS gym floor with some overpriced weatherstripping and interior carpet. biggest car related waste of time i have ever experienced.
 
September Mopar World Finals at Norwalk OH (Summit's NHRA track), probably right at 250 miles, depending on where in IL you are. # day weekend, usually middle of the month.

We have a small Mopar show and race at Cedar Falls Motorsports Park in the late fall. Mopars on the Mississippi is a fun show and Farmington is great! I enjoy it as much as the Nats. We usually go to Chicago to the swap meet in February. Different location this year.
 
i went to norwalk last year, they had alot of racers,
i took parts to sell and was a decent turn out on Saturday but sun was a waste of time ,we left by noon because everyone else was packked up and left Saturday night, probably wont go back to that one ,there was very few show cars too.
 
There is a swap here next month put on by the CMC,Feb 14th 8-2pm at 271 E North Ave in Glendale Heights. They also have multiple shows through the year,ask them for details when you attend the swap

Moparfest in Ontario may be a bit further depending where you are in Illinois but I drive 7 hrs to get there and well worth it. Member Cannucky drives his 69 Barracuda right across Canada from BC to attend.

is the cedar falls show a small show? do they have swap area? how many cars are there for show? just wondering if I should bring car for show or just do swap meet??

Pretty small show. It gets bigger every year but just by a few cars. It all depends on the weather. A couple years it was cold, in the 40's. There is a small swap meet also. Maybe a couple dozen vendors. Car show maybe 50 cars or so. I would say maybe 75 or so Drag cars.
I have started a few threads the last few years with quite a few photos. Use the search feature and type in Mopar Max in thread titles. All the threads should come up. tmm

I second this!! Not only is it a great show, but the grounds and museums are incredible!!! You won't be disappointed!!!
 
I was thinking about going to the Mopar Performance Parts Trade Show in Indy this coming March

been to the indyheads show a couple of times,its not a bad show at all some decent deals to be had.and a usually a decent turn out of show cars for an inside show.
 
In July Great Lakes dragway in union grove Wi. has a Mopar weekend. They don't advertise at all, why I don't know. Look up the strip online it should be on the schedule. If you show your car you can run it down the strip one time or pay? and run all day. It's definitely not the biggest show but I do enjoy it. It's disappointing they don't advertise, if word gets around through word of mouth it should take off, that's one of the things we always talk about. Take care

It's July 30, thanks for mentioning it, I've been there but unfortunately not for the Mopar show, gotta try and make it this year and spend all day.

The facility and shows are so good it's hard to see everything in just one day
 
ok I talked with my daughter about the mopar nats show and she said she would like to try it, I looked up the car show for the young guns class and that's what she would want to register for, does anyone know what it costs for the show? car entry? admission for extra people? do they have camping grounds for car show people? how much?
I tried to call the number listed and got no response back. :banghead:
any help would by good, thanks guys!
 
Know it's a LOT farther than 250 mi, but make the pilgrimage to Carlisle at least once. It's overwhelming for first timers- last year over 2500 show cars, you can't possibly see all the swap meet in one day- seriously! I leave the car home, hook up the camper and stay at a local campground relatively cheap around $45 per night for site. I've been to lots of shows and nothing compares. I enter my truck in the show just to get in, really haha gets ya in all 4 days for about $50- did I say I was cheap?!
If racing is ur thing then the Nats is for you - n you west coasters the MATS as long as it doesn't go Chevy this year. I may do the RV thing n hit some of the Midwest ones ur talking about .........any Mopar show is worth a try
 
Mopower Madness show/swap is usually held in May. Used to be at Dupage County Fairgrounds. Was in Bartlett IL last year.

Looking for some opinions from members that have been to both the Indy and Carlisle shows. Which would you choose if you could only attend one event?

Pros and cons would be appreciated.

I attended the Walter P. Chrysler Winter Swap Meet in Michigan for the first time and I was disappointed with that show.
