SUPER STOCK BO29 HEMI Barracuda and LO23 Hemi Dart forum

Ok - here we go.

The end goal was to built a relatively fast street car that was competitive in a NSS Hemi Shoot Out.

This is my current project. A '69 Cuda FB roller that was purchased from a gentleman in Long Island, last licensed in 1990. It was relatively rust free. The project was supposed to only take a max of 2 years. It's been 5 years so far because life kept getting the way. And to this day my former clients have no idea what "retired" actually means.

I brought the car home, removed the trim, glass, and bolt on body panels, cut the quarters off, and discarded every body panel except the roof and cowl. I did sell the hood and fenders.

I had mint doors from a previous project, a bolt on fiberglass decklid from AAR, and a complete race weight glass from end , and bumpers that were supposed to go on a previous build.

Within a month of getting the car home I had the front end panels fitted, doors on and aligned, and the cheap *** Taiwanese (Cross Canada Auto Body) quarters on and straightened.

The roof had some slight wrinkles or waves that needed some TLC.

With the body work done I moved on to the chassis upgrades.

Stay tuned for the 2nd installment tomorrow.
