Well I am in PA and we have our own set of rules but from What I heard about California is when you want to re-register a car back on the road that has been off for awhile you have to pay for all the years up to the current year to put it back on the road with current registration.....In other words, if it was last on the road in '71 you will have to pay back registrations for 45 years which will be very expensive.....
