I am pretty sure I have an A903, but it is not original to car. My problem is replacing the input and out put shaft bearings. According to the parts manual, they should be the same bearing. However, they are different. One is an MRC 307 SG17, the other is an MRC 207 S507. I can find the MRC 307 SG17, but not the MRC 207 S507.

If I could figure out the transmission I might have better luck finding the bearing. Besides, I would like to know..... inquiring minds and all that

I have a '67 slant 6 cuda with 3 on tree

Should be a pad on the passenger side of the trans with a partial vin# stamped into it, this will help figure out what year the trans is. Or try and find a casting date somewhere on the case. Also a picture is worth 1000 words, helps eliminate the guesswork.

is it aluminum or cast iron

is it a top loader or side loader

The 903 is aluminum

the 745 is a top loader

The 230 is side loader that looks like a mini 4 speed

one of the first two are most likely

903 is an iron case with a flat top cover
745 looks like a 903 except the top cover has a hump in it to clear a gear on the main shaft
230 has a side cover
65 and earlier transmissions have a ball and trunnion yoke
