wheel studs have a look

Well a guy who look at the org stud on line said the knuarl for my 74 Duster is 6.73,the one i took out needs to be bigger but he could not find 1.I look at the dorman site and i could not find 1 .
 
That's .673 and they are all over RockAuto.
 
You need to find a Dorman BOOK and go through it. Over sized studs are available for everything under the sun.

If you are sure you have .680" for the knurl, Moser has .685 knurl X 3" press in lugs for 22 bucks. Cut them to your needed length or use open end nuts. I'd guess you could find through other sources also, Dr. Diff, Summit, Strange, Jegs, etc.

The also have 1-1/2" long .665" knurl. The link below say's .685" but the page shows them as .665" knurl.

They may have other sizes also.
 
610-103 is the dorman part # for the rear studs on your Duster. The knurl diameter is listed @ .673. I don't see another choice with a bigger knurl in a 1/2" - 20

You might want to have them tack welded in like Steve mentions as long as they fit snug in the axle.

Also, just so you know, the front & rear studs are different.
 
Someone is a happy camper for once.I just went to car Quest and it took the girls like 2 minutes to size it up,they got out there Dorman book and bingo.I just got 1 to try and it went in.Thankssssssssssssssssssssssss all.

BOOK, just like I said. I ain't been in this business 35 years to give out some bullshit info. Glad you found it.

Thank you MVH,for the suggestion trying Dorman if I had tryed them in the first place short day it would of bean. And to RRR FOR the Dorman book.:cheers:
 
I got the studs in today,sure glad I went and bought a 1/2 in-pack driver mad it supper easy,I tried the ratchet but to hard on my back muscle and neck.I guess i must be a pussy.
