I am running those accell 9000 with the hard ceramic boots up against my tti headers and now i have a horrible miss no arcing in the dark just a horrible miss under any kind of load intermitten more so when hot that just developed wondering if my plug wires are bad allready about 2500 miles also do you guys use dielectric grease i used it very liberally dou you think that affects it? I allready put a new cap and rotor tried a brand new coil it is an msd digital programable 6 plus and pro billet ditributor gonna put a set of msd super conducters on it this weekend

I used morose ultra 60 big block Chevy on my chassis car..comes with the heat Sheld stuff on them ..also can get the ends in different angles. .

As long as they do. Fancy plug wires are the equivalent of blinker fluid.

Standard Ignition Co. Wire. 7mm black wires with minimum printing on them. I use Dialectic liberally.

Yellow....

Yep, that red box on the left inner fender. I left the OEM ignition for back up. Test your wires for resistance. Any of them over 20K ohms chunk.

...another vote for standard 7mm parts store wires and they fit stock wire separators
if it matters.

My intrepid was doing that and that is when I found several wires open circuit. 20k ohms is not a fixed value but approximate.... It should have measureable resistance.

I have 8mm yellow Acells with the long orange silicone boots.
5 and 7 wanted to lay against the header tube so I folded some header wrap to three thicknesses thick and put it between the boots and the header tube.
Not a problem in almost 2 years of driving the hell out of it.

I'm not the only one on here that has had a bad "New" coil out of the box...

I used the most free I could find. 8mm yellow Accel. Hate the look, but have been no trouble in years...

Taylor 10.9

with all the msd stuff

hade miss fire problem with accel the 8 mm and 8.8 mm
did the same msd wasnt better either

so end up with the Taylor

just love them

How long do they last?

Haven't ran it alot..but I got them mostly for the heat protection. .buddy has them on his 2001 Monte Carlo goes 505 1/8 been on there for years now problem that's another reason I made the choice. .kinda high but if you burn 1 or more with no jack how much have you spent..but again they are on my chassis car stock type deal maybe a lot different for you. .msd 7 msd dizzy.

Used to run Taylors, still have a few sets "in stock". Firecores would be my 2nd choice. MSD would be 3rd.
If you're certain it's an ignition related miss, ohm out the wires without removing them from the engine so the same bends and pinches are present. The manufacturers can tell you what the resistance should be per foot. Sure it's not a bad plug or pickup?
