When you are under there cussing just think of when I did a rear main seal on my motorhome in a gravel driveway entirely by myself with hand tools only. :D
12 foot driveline with center carrier, turbo 400 trans, motor mounts undone, flexplate off, oil pan unbolted (then oil pump off) THEN pan out and in that exact order.
Think about getting the oil pump into the pan, lined up and bolted down with the pan there, but not enough space to even see the oil pump or anything but just get your hands in there.
Next thing you know that trans will be out and you'll be laughing. :D
