Just to clarify, you mean the "demon" or "dart sport" scoop? the only dusters to come with factory scoops were the twister models, and they never had the dual snorkel type.

I have one that's been bead blasted ready for paint but not sure if it's 73'

For a 73-75 Duster you will want a 72 Demon scoope. For a 70-72 Duster you will want a 73 dart sport scoop.

They are different and have a different part number on both pieces. I have a 73 sport scoop on my 71 Duster no mods to the scoop needed. Front stud and lower front of scoop did not have to be modified.

On your 73 Duster hood you will end up extending the front stud if using a 73 scoop and having an open space between the hood and scoop. I have both scoops if you want pics of the difference.

Some of the aftermarket scoops are much smaller than the OEM. so be careful on what you buy.

I guess the dual snorkel 73 Duster scoop I saw was an aftermarket huh. Guess I was looking at a Dart Sport scoop on a Duster. I correct? Perhaps... But I think it looks good and would look "correct" for the era.

Yes, they look good and seem like they belong on a Duster. So many people have done it over the years that others think they did come that way. It doesn't help that some call Dart Sports "Dusters" as well.

X2 on using the Demon version on a Duster because of the hood contours.

I don't want to bolt one on if nobody makes one to contour to the 73 Duster hood. I'm talking about the snorkel hood scoop FYI. Not the dual scoops.

The flatter base of the '72 Demon version snorkle scoop will work best because the '73 Dart Sport has a raised area towards the front. The '71 Demon had the 2 seperate scoops.

So a 72 Demon should fit pretty flush? Surprised nobody makes one that fits a 73 perfectly. Thanks!

I will sell the 73 I have. all studs and nuts are good. 2 small cracks in rear corners typical. Needs to be repainted . Best offer $150 plus ride no returns. Pics will be posted if interested

Answered your PM with my info Phone # and address call anytime. Others are bugging me now will give you first shot. Call ASAP Steve

73 bolts on 70 71 with no mods. to bolt it on a 73 -75 you will need to ad two washers under the middle stud and fill the small area that is recessed for the beak on a dart hood. Very Easy mod if you know what you are doing. You can't really see the difference without looking for it so it could be left as is but the washers must be added . I will explain when you call if interested
