Our MOG of South Africa had a coffee/breakfast run this morning. We are a group of 72 members, scattered allover SA, with approximately 217 Mopars. This was our Gauteng Province gathering. Some pics to enjoy.

Do you have more pics of the hood on the green dart? What scoop is grafted on to it?

It is summer yes, scorching 34 Celsius! I took plenty more pics, phone refused to save them... Small group of fanatics joined for the day, only 15 cars attended.

Me with the goaty...

Looks like a good time there!

It was Pops! Always nice to spend time with like minded enthusiasts. Something about Mopar owners...very different to Chebby or Furd crowd. One of our members with a '69 Barracuda had heating problems on his way there. Thermostat housing sprung a leak, corroded through. Toolboxes out, spare sourced...fixed! We could not find a slant replacement, but Toyota thermostat cover fits!:D

Good to get a face to your name, Ters.

I suppose it was Boerewors all around?

Very cool... I like the Challenger hood scoops on the dart...

A little off topic but boerewors is really good for all of you who haven't tasted it.

edit: I'm bookmarking that recipe page, Ters.

Thanks for sharing with us all:coffee2: Looks like a great group of Mopar nuts!

Dave...

mom and dad visited SA years ago and said it was beautiful. I know a guy Johann up in the wine country and he invited me to come out, Ill have to one day!

I used to have a 2Dr 71 Polara like the primered or silver 4dr. I wish I still had it!

Nice pictures. I can't believe all the good old mopars that are in Africa.... Pretty cool that you guys can enjoy them over there also...

That 67 fastback reminds me of my old one that I used as a daily driver and ran it up to 500,000 miles... It was the same color, but a 68, we called it the "banana boat"...

Great pics. Thanks for posting. I have never seen a 65 Barracuda with the 65 Valiant Signet finish panel between the tail lights. That makes a big different to the appearance of that 65 Barracuda. I like it. Maybe the factory should have installed that trim on all the 65 Barracudas here. Was that standard for all 65 Barracudas assembled in South Africa?

As far as I know it was standard. Beautiful car, very proud owner!:D I was at the event in my '67 Monaco.... My A-body still in surgery.
