Hi FABO! I'm trying to figure out a good way to make a set of stands to support the rear half of my 1971 Duster. Wanting it mobile outside so an 8 or 10 inch tire would be good. The front end seems easy to do with the bumper bracket bolts but i'm wondering about the best locations to support the rear. I am hoping to raise the car 24 inches to help with working on the underside. Any tips or tricks are as always appreciated!

Let me rephrase the question I think i was to vague... wanting to support the car shell by the rear half not the differential. The front looks simple with the bumper brackets to bolt to but Id like to raise the rear about 24 inches safely.

crackedback has a great solution already sorry I wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel my bad.

Not sure if this is what your looking for, this is the approach I came up with that allows me to raise and lower the car but continue to use the support points that the springs provide so the body doesn't move or sag when I removed panels. Also by flipping the casters out of the way it sits solidly on the floor and won't move around. Might be a little extravagant but actually not that hard to build.

That's genius.

Appreciate the compliment, the front ones I used a fellow members idea but I beafed it up quite a bit and added the flip out casters, the back I dreamt up starring at my car knowing what I needed them to do until the light bulb went off, lol.

Looks nice! I had a close idea on the front brackets... the rear I wasn't too sure on. Those look like a great solution! Thanks I appreciate you sharing them.

That's pretty cool. Nice work! Beefy enough for a ram diesel.

You may be able to use that to lift the front if rolling a driveline in from the bottom.
