I've been hunting a trunk seal for a bit now. I bought the Metro part number tk 64-a but it is too wide and too tall for the trunk. by like 1/4 inch each way. I've sent off the sample of the original to them and I'm hoping to get an answer back . my original seal is hollow but is shaped like the tk 64-a. Just much smaller. anyone else run into this problem? is the seal different than the Swinger? I know the trunks are different than the sport obviously. but I've never considered that the swinger and 4 door might be different.

I have parted out many 67-76 cars and never ran across a hollow trunk seal. That may be something someone else put on there. This is all I have ever seen (see pic)

my seal does not install like that at all. and I believe it to be original as the car had only 60k on it when I bought it. mine is shaped like that one, but the surface being used as the seal in that photo is the glued down side- there is a ledge running all the way around above the water channel. it is definitely unique to the four door and possibly the swinger, the sport trunk is obviously different.

My 74 four door is taller also for some reason and the one that was on the car was hollow also, getting better with age though.

I found a seal that looks incredibly close . It's from Restoration Specialties. they were the only ones I found that knew what I was saying when I said the seal needed to be smaller and hollow.

Restoration specialties catalog online page 44 part number 93332.
