What are your thoughts on this cam?

If nothing else it will be an interesting cam to run. It is one size smaller than the XR292R that bob is running which as bob remembered is 254/260 @ .050.

On 03/03/2006, before we had our own dyno, we ran a 9.7:1 compression 451 stroker with our ported 452 iron heads and used the XR292R solid roller. These are the dyno results:

RPM..............TQ/HP

3900............547/406
4000............546/416
4100............554/432
4200............573/459

5100............556/540
5200............563/557
5300............562/567
5400............550/565

5600............554/591
5700............545/591

Now, the XR286R as a street/strip option for a 440, yeah it ought to be exciting.
