Re: 72 demon
New front sway bar end links (PST) with poly bushings. How much should they be tightened.
They just have a bolt , not the rod with built in stops.

Its hard to say. how thick are the bushings? Usually you tighten em like you do a shock, i always tighten them until the bushing buldges slightly beyond the metal cups maybe 1/16 or 1/8" beyond the cup

Also you could post a pic of yours tightened and i could tell you if its too much by looking at it

Heres a pic of mine if it helps

I overtightened mine on a '72 Challenger, be careful!

It broke the bracket on the control arm, better to start off a little loose, and use a locking nut.

Haven't figured out how to post pic from iPad, but your pic helps. Seems like upper and lower bushings don't budge equally. There also seems to be quite bit of threaded bolt exposed.

Not sure on the ipad but you should be able to click the paper clip image and it pull up a upload screen, click upload and it should give the selection to upload from your images. Once it says upload complete close that screen and return to your reply box, click paper clip icon again and it should pull up a uploaded image labeled a certain number, click it and it should be added to your message box.

IIRC, I had a lot of bolt threads showing on mine, too, so I put the bolt in upside down.Looks like poster #2,(still 17 characters), also did.You can always hacksaw the excess off, just leave enough to reuse the bolt if you ever have to. But I doubt you ever will, cuz like,on my car those bushing are going on 16 years old, and have over 125,000 miles on 'em.
They don't have to be very tight to work properly,on a streeter. If they are a little loose, they might be noisy. If they are very tight, they tend to split the bushing. On a streeter with 1.03 T-bars,and HD shocks, those links don't work very hard.
