Got my never used lakewood scattershield off this site from jamey out in western pa. Super happy with it. It has the correct 4.8 inch register hole for my 308 bearing heavy duty A833 and ce with block protector plate. Are there any tricks to making these work in an A-body? I am modifying a spool mount k-frame to work with my 400. I am using tubular parts automotive fender well headers that run one tube inside the frame rail so header clearance should not be a problem.

Looks good on my trans. Extension housing is from passon performance for the 308 bearing.

I love mine, ive heard that the engine plate puts a little pressure on the rear main seal which can cause it to lightly seap, mine does a little bit but not enough to notice any drop in oil level, i found the easiest way to install it is put a rachet strap around the torsion bars to support the rear of the engine, then bolt the engine plate up, then flywheel, then clutch and pressure plate, and then install the scattershield, and then install the trans

Make sure to indicate bearing retainer pilot true to the crankshaft within .008 runout.
Pay close attention that the starter gear returns off the flywheel ring gear after starting.
Seems they always need a bit of tweaking to get the starter working right
Hammer the firewall to floorpan seam flat in the trans tunnel for needed space.
Never used those headers to to be any help there.

X2^ lol had the drivers side motor mount come loose and scatter shield bumped the firewall, torque strap fixed that lol
