70 Duster Dashpad

-
............there is a bunch of little studs/nuts that u have to get from underneath, take out the dash gauges and glove box liner.......might want to unhook the negative battery cable.........kim.....

oldkimmer beat me. Like he said, unless you have tiny hands, like gymnastics, and are a glutton for punishment, pull as much from the dash as you can. Attached is a pic to help you locate the studs.

I did it in my duster and all i can say is. Prepare to get very angry, Cut up And very Depressed. I had a bolt or 2 to go and i just ripped the whole pad out, i was pissed. But i got the new pad/Dash cap in and thankfully it looks great.

70Duster440 did an outstanding job in locating the nuts. I did mine last year. The way I did mine was I waited till I got the new one ordered, then looking at the new one I could locate the nuts from looking at the rear of the new one....

It turned out great.

Be sure to do a test fit before putting nuts on new pad. I had most all on mine before discovering that one stud was a little off and didn't make it thru the hole. Would have been a whole lot easier if i had checked better first.

Also there is two screw holes toward outside lower corners of pad . Mine had plastic from molding plugging them. Be sure to make sure they are visible and clean before installing.
