Leanburn to HEI conversion question

Thanks for the update and a very good "data point" on the coil. Some say a factory oil-canister type coil worked fine for them w/ HEI, but I can believe that your Flame Thrower coil didn't like the higher voltages (probably arc'ed internally). A newer e-core type coil works better with HEI. You also need to increase your spark gap to 50-60 mil to get the full benefit. For those who want to stay w/ Mopar parts, Magnum engines (89-01? trucks, Grand Cherokee) have an e-core coil cheap at the JY (snip mating connector too).
