Anyone like the Hurst Pro Matic 2 shifter?

Your car,is fun to drive.Had a great afternoon, Greg.

Yea, me to too thank you.

I have one in my 67 Coronet. I am running the truck version as it has a longer handle and works great with a bench seat and almost gives a look of a 4-speed. Shifter seems to be working good now but did have its problems when I first installed. I found it very finicky to get the adjustment just right so it would go in all gears. The other problem I had and was already mentioned is the recommended cable routing calls for it to exit front of shifter through the floor then loop out front and come back to trans linkage. The problem with that is if you have headers it will melt the cable no matter how much you tie it back or wrap the cable. Ask me how I know:banghead:
I purchased another cable and routed it from the front but around the transmission case on the passenger side and then back across the front of the transmission pan and then into the transmission linkage. No problems since and I even wrapped it with some heat sleeving just to make sure. Its real tight though when you route this way but seems to work. Could use another cable that is about 2-3" longer.
Will try and post a couple pics later.

You are correct about it being a little touchy about the adjustment at first.
When I changed to the rubber/metal pan gasket I had to readjust it and that took about 5 tries before I got it just right.
Once adjusted though, it stays.
