Nothing wrong with going to a 3.8 or 4.2 kickdown lever and solid, rigid bands and even a mild shift kit. All of those small mods will enhance performance a little bit, but help increase longevity a lot through shorter shift times and reduced clutch slippage. Cheap enough that you should at the very least consider it.

Yes, the guy is going to upgrade bands, and a few other things that will make it very stout, but really won't be much of an aid to the E.T. I'm sure a fresh tranny will help a small smidge, but I want the 318 to do the work :glasses7:
