I understand completely, but I don't think there's even a newbie young gun that wouldn't go for a cheap shift kit while they had the transmission out. Since it adds to the longevity, I don;t think it's cheatin. lol
The guy is going to rework the valve body to shift smooth but quick. It won't shake the dash, but will move to the next gear very efficiently. we talked in length about my expectations, and my desires, and he thinks he can bake the pie to perfection! He did balk at me using the factory converter, but that is what I stated this project would run with....LOL
He is known for building tough 904's and mopar trannies. He build one 904 to put behind twin turbos (600+ horse) in a C-body convert. No issues. This is just one example. I've known of him, but my 1st time giving him my business. Nice guy, hope he comes through for me.....
