Automatic Brakes Will Be in All Cars by 2022:

Rented an SUV to drive from PA to GA about a month ago. Go to pick it up and it's a BRAND new Tahoe. I had to swallow my pride a bit to crawl inside, but what did I expect when I put the choice up to the rental company. Anyway, this thing had 300 miles on it.

It practically drove for me. It had a vibrator (tee-hee) in the driver seat.

If you got too close to something in front of you (tailgating) while driving it would beep a tone, flash off and on quickly a large red light onto the inside of the windshield.

It had a lane monitor that would actually correct your steering if you got too close to the center or outside lane line ....
This was the most startling thing that happened. I typically drive on the oustide of the road when it's safe to to give the idiots passing at 95 mph enough room. It kept steering me back towards the center of the lane....

All that being said...I did enjoy the heated seats, power heated and auto dimming side mirrors, rear entertainment and HVAC system for the kids, I never drove something with such bells and whistles...
