Automatic Brakes Will Be in All Cars by 2022:

I remember that. What those enviro whacko morons don't understand is, there are whole forests dedicated to all of our wood and paper needs. It's not like companies just go out and hack a bunch of trees down at random.

That said, the problem is not with "the gubmint", it is with "we the people". We have become so complacent, that we are letting them run us, instead of the other way around.

You know why that is don't you? Because everything is convenient. Everything that exists today is to make your life easier. To make just living easier. The easier everything is. The less you have to fight and work to make something happen. The more likely you are to go along with it.

Previous generations fought hard for basics. And so taking away what they fought for made them fight to keep it. You don't give up something you've earned very easily.

Now look at us. Hungry? Drive (don't walk) less than a block from where you are right now and I bet you can find 6 places to get something to eat. And I don't mean just restaurants. Convenience stores are packed with food and drink. Gas stations are packed with food and drink. Need clothing? Readily available. And with the internet? Anything you need is a click away. Hell, you can sign up to have new underwear and socks sent to you on a regular basis. And why? Is it so damn hard to go to the store and buy it? No. But it's only less thing you have to do. Leaving you free to worry about **** that doesn't actually matter. And what happens if a mom and pop shop that sold underwear and socks closes because you signed up online? Well what do you care. You still get your stuff, no fuss no muss. Nothing is earned anymore. It's all just right there. With no appreciation of how it got there. Or what it took to get it there. It's just there.

Previous generations worked hard to make things easier for us. More convenient for us. Because we were supposed to make the breakthroughs they couldn't. That work they did would make it easier to do our work. So that we never had to scrape by just to make it to the end of the day. We were supposed to use that extra time to solve - or at least work on - the things they couldn't. To cure disease. End warfare. Raise the quality of life. To be great thinkers and builders. To take humanity into the future.

And what do we do instead? ******* squander it on watching netflix for 8 hours straight.
