Hard HOT starting

-
Put on an electric fuel pump and shut it off and let the carbs run dry before turning off the ignition so when you restart it the bowls will have nice cool fuel in them

worked for my Duster.

Except that on really hot days, I can shut the pump off and keep driving forever, and it just keeps siphoning fuel :/

I assume that you are kidding about siphoning, cuz I can't see how that would be possible.Liquids, under gravity, just don't flow uphill. And float valves are suction breakers.
But I'm willing to learn.......

Has anyone told him to check those big port holes on the sides of his Demon to see what the fuel level is when he's hot starting it? Well, I just did. A bypass regulator will keep his fuel and carb cooler too.

While running they are right at the bottom of the sight glass.
