Automatic Brakes Will Be in All Cars by 2022:

I've seen Terminator and saw what Skynet can do!

yup, scary ****. And folks eat it up. Heard one guy say he can't wait til the day cell phones are integrated into our bodies and run off brain waves. You and your damn phone should get a room.....and when you're done, OD on the crack you're obviously smoking.

New car tech is incredible, power and economy etc etc. But when a Hellcat engine won't start cuz it can't see a feedback from the tail light computer (as read in HRM this month), give me a frickin break!!

And yeah, the dummies driving around with a smart phone in one hand and a coffee in the other. Sure they might take themselves out of the gene pool, but might also take me or someone else with em.

I've made it my personal mission to fly in the face of this BS with a proud middle finger to it all. When I need to drive (distance over 5-10 miles, big load to carry or snow and rain), it's a 73 Dart. If it's not raining/snowing I'll take my bicycle or even walk. And not only is my phone not in my hand 24/7 , if I'm not driving a vehicle (which is often), it stays home. So good to be free of the electronic leash.

There is some amazing tech out there but if it frees us up only to spend more time with tech, what's the point?

Gimme a dumb car, dumb phone and dumb TV any day. As well as a night out to dinner with car friends talking to each other or hanging out in the garage and the only time a phone comes out is maybe to look something up.

OK, rant over
