what do you folks think about the Proform carbs?
I jist ordered one from a guy here and dont know much about them, I like the tuneabillity they seem to offer.

The one I ordered is the 950 CFM for my 440 Dart build.

Re worked several just take it apart and make sure all of the emulsion holes are drilled all of the way through as some aren`t.................

Actually built mine in pieces from E-bay but like it so far. Went with a 50cc pump on the primaries and a 37 squirter. Still need the hollow screw for the squirter but it's still pretty crisp. Haven't put the wide band on it yet but it feels great! Watch out for the angle on the secondary linkage. I had to cut a notch, bend and re-weld the pull point on the primary bracket to get WOT without kicking open the secondaries at idle.

I like Proform carbs. I had a 750 DP on my last combo, got an 850 DP for my 416.

They are lighter than your standard Holley. Bowls are made by Quick Fuel. They take all the regular Holley parts. Screw in air bleeds are nice. They are easy to work with.

I think that is backward...the QFT stuff is made by Proform...

My 950 E85 QFT has a QFT sticker on it...pull the sticker and the main body says Proform...LOL

Tony, the bowls say QFT Pat. Pend? At least they do on my older 750. I didn't scrutinize the new ones as closely. The main body is definitely a "Proform" part, they have always made the main bodies.

Either way, decent carbs for the money.

Then send to Dom to be Thumperized...
