anyone have a pic of a 67 barracuda with a "no radio plate".....a.k.a. "radio delete plate"

since the radio was an option, it really couldn't be "deleted"

but I have never seen a 67 barracuda without a radio so anyone have a picture of the plate that goes over the radio when a radio was not ordered ??

I am interested to know if a radio blank out plate from 1968 would work on a 67.....I doubt it though because 67 had a knob radio and 68 had the thumbwheel.

Here is mine in my Duster. Pretty sure it is the same thing used on all non thumb wheel radio rallye dashes.

I think it will look the same on the outside. It might screw/clip to the dash fascia different

Tom at Rocket Restorations in Olympia WA used to have an uncanny knack for finding blank radio plates. I'll dig his email out & get it to you.

I believe the Challenger ones are referred to as Radio block off plates at Hamtramck Historical.

The 67 and 68 radio delete plates are different . The 67 plate is "thicker" due to the radio knobs. 67 radio had knobs and 68/69 radio were thumb wheel. We have a 67 radio delete 383 formula S with the radio delete...documented. I believe I have a 67 and a 68 radio delete plate that I can take a picture of for you. I will see if I can dig them up

Here are a 67 and 68/69 plates

the 67 barracuda plate is on the left - notice how much deeper it is. This enables it to cover the radio knob indentations on the dash

Looks like they were made, to be easily taken off in service and discarded. When a radio was sold through sales dept.

I agree that it was not radio delete in 67, as a radio was an option and no radio delete section exists on the build card/build sheet. So for other years does the build card/build sheet have a radio delete section?

I have been looking for an original 67 radio plate for years. Missed on on ebag for cheap once, bought a repo for another model but it looks fine.

Here is a pic of an original 67 with the plate on it. This car is so original its ridiculous.
