"The big rage" of late seems to be putting aftermarket coil over stuff under these cars, but they were competitive for years and years in stock and superstock with rear leaf, front T bar suspension.

Only cause the rules say they have to use them....

Friend of mine put adjustable strut rods on his 68 Barracuda....nhra said..they gotta go..

Good read for someone getting into chassis mods. Another subject not mentioned is running up the lower control arm. Jim Lusk has a YouTube vid showing how to do that.

What is that and what does it do?

All in all, that covers the fundamental Mopar torsion bar operation, but the torsion bar rates listed are very old, and the last pic is not the "rear" of anything. Many members here run 1.xx torsion rods on small blocks and dont mind the ride, but are not ideal for drag racing. I think it still goes back to the old slant six bars for drag racing applications and a 90/10 drag shock as you want the fastest "transfer" reaction to the back tires which would be the weakest torsion bar with the least amount of resistance on the expansion of the front shock.

Ive heard of guys running the 6cyl bars for drag racing to help soften the front to get more weight transfer, not sure tho
