Has anyone had experience putting these in a classic mopar or have any pics? Similar to the new challenger/charger ones. I know I saw a charger with a custom orange single halo it looked pretty sweet. I ask because I'm working on a 72 valiant planning on going white paint w/ blue interior, blue Halo lights would be interesting!

I saw a set the other day on a old GM boat. They were the smaller 4 lamp style. but they did look cool . Caught my eye! They did not go all the way around the light. Or they were tucked in on the top.

Wow! 3 replies and no bashing!! Must be a record!! Lol. I'm thinking about halos on my Duster then... I'd like to find some CCFL halos, those are the pure white ones that don't have the lines in em

I don't care for 'em. On old classics. I also don't care for much of the Foos'is'zized, Barris'azterdized, or was Cod(ington)Fishted. And certainly not "DONK"

The Donk...By Hotrod.com

We felt violated after doing this rendering. Nevertheless, somebody will get the bright idea to do exactly this. One word: don’t. It’s just wrong.
The “Donk”

Violation: Obscenely large and patently unsafe wheels and tires

The cause: Like saggy pants, and ball caps with the tags still on them, the superlarge wheels on a donk have their cultural origins in shoplifted merch. That’s right, they’re supposed to look stolen. The theory is, when you’re swiping stuff, you can’t be picky on the size because time is of the essence (super small wheels on lowriders fit the bill too). Inner-city gangsters “got the tire rolling,” but like many subculture movements before it, donk wheels quickly gained steam in suburbia.

The cure: The mechanical systems of even modern cars are incapable of coping with the inertial juggernaut of supersized wheels (anything over 22 inches). The larger the wheel, the worse the physics nightmare becomes. Excessive rotating inertia makes panic stopping unsafe or impossible, and overall unsprung weight makes handling sluggish and incompliant. Ride quality is also severely impacted as the spring and shock package is overwhelmed by the sheer mass of the wheel and tire. No joke: Downsize your wheels, or risk injury.

Haha you guys are hilarious. In all honesty I think it could look clean and simple if done right... But I've never seen it!

At least this one has white walls

Ditch the Daytons and shackles and this might work...

Actually thought about this with my 67 cuda. Get orange halos, and hook em up as running lamp, turn signal lamps, and convert the original running lamp turn signal lamps in the grille into driving/fog lamps. They look pretty cool in certain instances i think. The new challys using em to where they are white, and the inner 2 turn orange as turn signal flashers is just plain cool. The centers of those inner "lamps" on the new challenger are actually fresh air ducting too.

If the right light is used on the right car they can look good.

"Donk", short for Donkey.
Another name for a donkey? ***

jmo

Donk IS short for donkey - which is what the kids who started this craze thought the 'impala' badge looked like. Because they didn't know what an Impala was.

Doesn't look much like a donkey to me. Looks tastier than one too.

I have white ones to hook up as a running light on my '74
