Are you installing disc brakes front & rear? Are you piece mealing the fronts or going with a kit setup? If a kit, which one? Are you swapping out the K member? Nice build so far. Dig the tunnel ram.

Doing just front disks from a 75 dart. I have 11" rear drums. Stock k member , disk swap consists of spindles , upper control arms, caliper bracket , calipers, and rotors from 75 dart.

Thanks Blue64Cuda, tunnel ram's rock.

Well I finally moved back into a place with a garage and now that I'm settled I'm finishing these headers up. Got passenger side collector on and fully welded.

I notched the passenger side crossmember for the collector extension. I'll be welding in some plate to strengthen crossmember up but this is as far as I got tonight.

The exhaust sits nice and tight to the floor. It's only propped up , but looks good

Thanks RustyRatRod, I can't wait to get on there. Honestly can't wait to start cutting in to her. I'll be doing subframe connectors first, then mini tub, and then inboarding the SS springs.

Should be making leaps and bounds here in april

Here is a little better pic of the old gal :glasses7:

I like the headers, are those the ones you made? Shiii, you got work in your future if you want to start poppin' those out.

They are the ones I made, came out great. If I had to do it again I'd tack all the tubes then tig while thing. Using the mig welder I had to grind down where I welded because space was tight and there just wasn't room for the 1-3/4 dia primaries

When the 360 stroker goes in I'll have to go to a bigger bell housing and therefore building another set of headers. 1-7/8 primaries with 3.5 collectors. But that's a ways out. For now I'm excited to push the 273 as far as I can.

Gutted barracuda's interior last night in preparation for sub-frame connectors and mini tub.

Then tonight, it was fish fillet , haha. Big milestone today getting wheel tub out.

Was much easier than I thought. I used a sawzall and a cutoff wheel. I trimmed all the way flush with frame rail.

Must admit, it was a little unnerving cutting into my car but no regrets.

Are you stretching to the front?......rear?......or both? for the 30" diameter tire

Just curious on these cars, what width tire (in inches") fits when leaving the factory inner well on the outside

I wish I would have left an inch on the outside edge on mine. Instead, I cut it flush so I didn't even have the option of doing a lap weld joint.

Good work so far. Looks like you will have caught me in no time.

I wanted to stretch the front but I was hoping not to have to get into the rocker. If I stretched it forward I have 1-1/2" before I'd have to get into a rocker. And rearward I have about two inches to stretch before getting into the lower quarter trunk extension. I know a lot of guys push the axle back 1-1/2 to center tire to fit a 30".diameter tire. I'm going to push the axle back a 1" and if I have to stretch I may just split it front and back.

With the factory inner wheel tub about two inches up from wheel opening to the frame rail is 14". If your car is not low and you remove the lip on wheel opening and your tub has no lip you could do a 13" section width and a 12.5 tread width but probably no more than a 28" diameter because of the opening and the way it curves inward.

My car has SS springs and imagine will sit high so I may be able to fit my desired height/width tire I want without streching. Either way I'll be doing wheel tubs, inboarding springs , and install rear end first. Then measure for a 8" width rims to get the right offset to center rims before buying tires.

Yeah I tried to get as close as possible to the outside while still being able to fit cutoff wheel and sazwall. I did all this from the inside of the car btw.

Thanks! much more to come , I've enjoyed your build as well. I just got offered a 66 dart 2dr post 273/auto and a 67 dart 2dr post /6. Guy just needs em gone by end of month . Hoping it works out but doesn't slow me down on the BCuda.

Got the passenger side wheel tub almost done this weekend. Seam sealed and undercoated. I'll order carpet her this week for cargo area.

Learned a lot, next side will go much faster.
