I just lost my cat who has been a part of my life for almost 20 years. He had been going down hill badly for the last 1.5-2 years and I knew his time was up but it still hurts to lose a friend you have had for that long.

Our condolences. Pets are like family. We lost 3 in the past couple years. One cat Millie left. Losing anyone you care about is hard.

The little guys (and girls) sure do become part of you

I sure am sorry. I lost Stubby last year. He was 16. I held him as the vet put him down. Hardest thing I have ever done, including with my human family. We still have his sister, Bummett and she is now 17 and going downhill.

You have my sympathy.

It's very sad to loose your pets...

My sympathies...

I am sorry for your loss. We just lost a beloved pooch a couple of weeks ago

I sure do hope so. All I know is Stubby purred all the way to his very last breath. He knew I was there.

My condolences, N.P. You get attached to pets who show unconditional love, been there more times than I care to remember.

I feel for you. It's a special thing, the closeness we have with an animal.

He will be missed here on earth, but is snuggled up on the bed, and will be there when you need him!! Sorry to hear, 20 years is a long time, but a lot of good years!! RIP kitty cat!!!

Sorry to read this. It's just incredible how attached we get to our pets.
I know exactly how you feel. Our cat was part of our family for 19 years, and died abot 3 weeks. ago.
Again, Sorry.

sorry for your loss, I know how it hurts! it is amazing what an impact our pets have on our lives and our wellbeing. hard to explain to people that never had such. I know losing a child does not compare, but in a way i', sure it does somewhat. fortunately I have never lost a child, but I have known people very well that have, and they just never get over it none at all.

i got home this afternoon to find my 7 years old miniature dashound, rear end paralyzed. dragging his hind legs. vertabra thing. on steroids for a week, confined, just have to hope and pray he gets better.
