Are these cars all fiberglass ? Just wandering because a buddy of mine has a demon & its all steel ( fenders, doors, trunk lid, quarters, roof ) fiberglass hood. It has all the glass & window cranks. small block He only got to run a few times last year & it ran the best of 8.85 in the 1/4 In the next couple of years he wants to do all fiberglass & a twin turbo.

no they are using carbon fiber, titanium everywhere and in the stratusphere for cost to lower the over all weight of their cars. i think murder nova has some fiberglass but i dont know. chief and daddy daves cars are carbon fiber. chiefs is all carbon and daves is front and probably doors at least if i had to guess. as i dont know for sure. just a hunch for the speeds and parts they have in them. those cars are 100k+ with ease.

Good Show last night. I do no why people say it is scripted? People that normally are not in front of a camera sound a little tight but I am sure we all would. Not everybody is John Travolta, thank god.
Those cars are bad *** , the wrecks are not scripted , and lets see what Tennessee brings next week ???
WHEN THEY COME TO CHICAGO THERE BETTER BE A MOPAR, WITH ALL OF THE BAD *** MOPAR TALKERS I HEAR OF

They were all at "Lights out 7" in Georgia . Only "Murder Nova" made it to the finals. His best time was 4.80 . My freind Frank Soldridge from Pa. went 4.04 and lost a door. The crowd went crazy when it happened. That is I believe where they got the idea for "Shocker"

The fastest there was 3.93 203 mph twin turbo Corvette

below is a video of Franks car at Maryland. It is a BB chevy You can't get the cubes out of any other motor except a HEMI $$$$$$$$$

The Crow mod was there and didn't qualify. Neither did the shocker. No power with traction

The best part was he wasn't running his neck (or necklace-LOL) He raced, won!, and got his money. Berry Sanders stile.

They said the charger was a 5 something CI. If i had to guess a stroked 440 with some nitrous.

Just noticed something about these "street" cars they're racing on the street.... Big Chief's new CrowMod recently went 4.03 at 186 in the eighth.... That's a 1/4 mile of about 6.21 at 230.... quicker and faster than NHRA Pro Stock. Pretty insane that they're running these things on the street.

The amazing part is that he is running a iron Pontiac block and Edelbrock heads.

This blows my mind too. It's crazy what guys can do with street legal stuff now. I remember when 10's was "crazy fast". And 9's was "barely streetable". Now there are guy's running full door cars in the 6/7's. That's just an unreal leap in the last 10/15/20 years.

Did you see the Blown Twin Screw Duster with the HEMI....BADDD ASSSSS. To bad the transmission blew up but the driver was real cool. Trans fluid all over the street but everyone was gracious
Mopar # 2 so far.
Come on guys, know some of you are thinking of getting in the spotlight!!!!

I just have a hard time watching the "New Orleans" version. The personalities just don't do it for me. I don't hear well and they all sound like they are talking with marbles in their mouths. Not really impressed with the over all quality of cars they have either although I was glad to see the Alabama crew bring a real MOPAR powered MOPAR even if he wasted his trans and didn't have enough sense to get out of it.

I loved the car , but what got me was that he said the car was just finished about two weeks ago . So to me he ran that car before he got a chance to brake it in , get any bug's out , or any testing at all . I wish he had waited before he decided to push it like that . But it's great that Mopars are finally being represented .

Yes, Chevy and Ford guys are like lemmings. They flock together in case one of them breaks down or starts something they can't finish. (typical)

Mopar guys seem to be more like lone wolves. We don't usually run in large packs or any pack at all.

That's why you see so few of them at shows. It's hard to get everyone on the same page when were all doing our own thing.

I'm lucky to have one buddy who drives a Mopar, but even he doesn't go to every cruise with me. So I go alone, or with my wife.

Yes, I have been that lonely Mopar at the show many times.

Doesn't bother me a bit.

I can relate . You should try showing up to a show or a cruise in an ole Dodge truck with a warmed up big block . lol You know how many times I've been asked "What year chevy is that ?" or "Is that a 350 ? " . lol

Momoparman try going to a charity show that ends up being a 200 car concourse supercar show and your the only mopar. I got crammed in bumper to bumper between 2 Ferrari's a Porche and a AMG with no way out for the whole darn day , we're talking Champagne and chocolate fountains lol ! At least I smoked one of the Ferrari's on the way there so the day wasn't a total loss.

Trapped or not, it sounds like you were in good company.:D Ferraris , Porches, Mercedes and Mopars.

Has a nice ring to it.

I hear ya and agree on the personalities. Much easier to watch the OKC show, which, will be back on April 25! Wo0T! The accents I can easily deal with as I'm from the South originally. The one guy with the piece of crap G body sounds like he is straight out of the woods. Love that dude lol.
And the guy with the Hemi Demon... What teh heck was up with that showing? Get your ride sorted. And test beforehand.

Oh, there's a couple Mopar car builders up here in Michigan who called them out, they came up, and had the race, but for some contractual reason, they are not allowed to show those segments! I've seen the Mopars in my friends stable and they are badass, as are all of his cars, probably didn't want to show them being handed their butts back!!

Saw Farmtruck today with the truck, it's a nice piece!!

So your saying you've seen a mopar smoke the 405? IF so that is awesome but I haven't heard of it. I definetly want it to be true. I'm tired of the chevy powered everythings. **** gets old quick.

So I watched last nights episode and right at 43 minutes in there is a race between a black S10 truck and The (hero's) car from New Orleans (NO).

The race starts with NO's car jumping out slightly. Then the cameras show the race views from the sides of the cars and from behind. The race is close with both cars running side by side. If you watch closely you can clearly see the S10 from Arkansas catching NO's car and just as he's gonna drag him, he (S10) puts on his brakes. This happens about 3/4 of the way down the track. He's not peddling, he's not correcting a spin, he just brakes, just as he was about to pass the NO car.

One word.

STAGED

Don't believe me? I rewound and replayed it 30 times just to believe it. The third tail light is bright like the sun for just a second...enough time to let the NO driver stay ahead and win.

SAD

and i thought i was the only one that saw the s 10 brake lights come, guess they thought no one would catch that lol:D

We all should know better......the heroes (NO/OK) always win on TV. :D

Maybe next season they can tape over the tail lights, so they don't spoil the drama. :burnout:

Why would they not let Kyle Kelly lose?? Makes no sense to me ? Can someone else confirm this ?
Are they saying that if Kyle Kelly lost people would tune out? Murder Nova got beat.
I watch the show because it seems real
