I have a 1970 dodge dart swinger. The wheel wells are standard nothing is cut out. I am looking to put a drag/street radials on it. The rims I am about get are 15in centerlines small bolt pattern. I would like to get Mickey Thompson's for the car but I am just looking to get feedback from would everyone else has used before.

Thanks in advance.

They were not radials, but I had Mickey Thompson ET/Street tires on my Valiant. It drove well even in the rain if I kept the speed down. Hooked like a ***** in church on the strip.

I'm running M/T Sportsman S/R LT 26x10R15s on my swinger. They are on 15x8 steelies, can't remember BS wheel lips are trimmed and no issues w/leaf springs. They seem to hook ok and are loads better than drag radials, almost wrecked my blown fox body when I got caught in the rain, needless to say them came off real quick, only put them on when going to the track. If you want a taller tire like a 28 they probably wouldn't fit without mods.

Basic beginning,in the day,Y2K Remington XT 120 radials worked REALLY GOOD,with a set of basic leaf springs, proper length rear shocks, and some driving experience. Engine ,gear ratio ,& Trans/maybe converter info, kinda helps here.My knowledge ,at the moment:E.T streets,as I know, Goodyear did some really good looking drag radials, that never sold.

15 x 8 wheel with around 5" backspacing will be needed, assuming everything is stock. 235/60-15 drag radials might fit with no problems. If you can raise the back end with S/S springs (a good idea anyways) they will have a better chance of not rubbing anywhere.

You can easily fit a 275/60/R15 or a 26x10.50 with nothing more than the offset shackles.

I ran BF drag radials. They did well.

I ran Mickey Thompson 255/60-15 drag radials on my 70 Dart on wheel Viniques 7" wide SBP Rallye Repo wheels. No modifications to the springs or wheel well needed but they barely fit. You couldn't install or remove them by jacking up the car under the axle; you had to raise the body of the car with a bumper jack to get the wheel well opening high enough to insert the tire into the opening.

Got any pics?

A 275/60 is more like an 28x11.00 slick, so which one? Also, what wheel and backspacing? Without that info this is pretty much useless info.

Let me make it more useful

8" rim

10.4 section width

26" diameter

The tire in particular I ran was a 26x10.50 sportsman pro

Backspace you can measure yourself. I don't remember mine and it's childsplay to measure the backspacing in the rear of these cars.
