Hello all, I just got my trunk drop down panel and boy am I dissapointed. It's got the right part# on it along with a few others but it's not what they showed on the picture . it's a pretty big name company so I thought I would ask you all if you would list some of the company's you have been happy with and maybe some you haven't been when it comes to repair panels. I don't know if we list namas here so I won't but I definitely didn't get what was advertised and thought I did my due diligence. I searched the name here on fabo but got no results so if I missed something direct me to those previous posts
Thank you Ray

I'm working on my 71 demon right now. I ordered the steel from Rock auto it was supposed to be a goodmark panel but I'm absolutely sure it's not. This is kinda funny in a way but it did have the proper part# on it, but it came from a company called keystone and had three stickers on it with a diffrent par# and two brand new stickers with the goodmark part#

OK so I called rock auto before I tried them to ask why they were so much cheaper than everyone else and to confirm their view of what is L part and what they consider a R part. Sitting in drivers seat of course so that means I need the L panel (drivers side). They sent the part and of course it was marked L but the part was made for the passenger side.

I use classic 2 current fabrication never had a problem with them

we had to get a front fender repair panel for my 68 fastback. I even had to build it up w/ a mig welder to make it work right. my body man did an excellent job on getting it right w/ hardly any filler tho. bought it off ebay, was in a hurry to get it, and couldn`t find a fender w/o paying $700 for it!

what you can find is a panel is stated to be correct, for exp, year 1 thry 5 lets say, there can be a slight ( or w ay more than slight), variance from year to year of dodge to Plymouth. the cheaper panels are " one piece firsts all" cut to fit!!!!!!

probably always money ahead to buy the highest quality ones available BUT there seems to be quite a bit of variance between the same panel people get.

just try to do a rear qtr repair on a 66-7 Belevedere!!! LOL hahahahahahahha

I personally would go with AMD products, they fit better and are thicker, however a bit pricier.
The goodmark trunk floor extension i used on my Dart Sport fit pretty well although they don't look original.........
(Same side as yours to boot, i had it so i used it).
The AMD outer quarter patch fit very well i may add, and the contours are right on.
I have some pics in my build thread if you care to check it out.

Thank you thank you guys,/think I will stick with AMD and c2c from now on.

AMD is where I got the tail panel for my 70 duster. Not installed yet but looks like a nice piece. Need to replace the spare tire well and was able to find the entire floor from a 73 dart for $50 to do that. Passenger side floor piece came from eBay. Think the guy went by American muscle. Fits real nice. Just need to finish fitting it, flange it, and weld away!!!

C2C is selling AMD stuff. Same part numbers and pricing as the AMD catalog too. Not sure why it says made in USA...
I use AMD and used the crap hand made junk and thin, galvanized crap before AMD and Goodmark came about. It is still a crap shoot. AMD is/are the best parts you can get. But they are not NOS and every car is different. So even with those you have to be prepared to modify as needed to make them properly fit. Complain all you want - at least they make something usable.
