true enough - but, if it is going to be a hot rod, then there's no need for Mopar or year specific, now is there? I've done an A-body (Scamp) and found the aftermarket harness had way more options and connections than I needed - modern fuses, clearly labeled wires, nothing to hate - I kept all the original connectors and adapted the harness to them.. piece of cake.. and I despise doing wiring. Definitely NOT for OEM guys though..
I am not sure that works for everbody, many have problems with aftermarket, because many are not mopar or year specific. Things like, wiper controls, headlight switches, and ignition supply diffences raise problems.
