Reverse lights??????

OK so OEM automatic, then later a manual, and now automatic again. No wonder its a little confusing. In 67 automatic the reverse lamp switch was inside the car either on the column or on the floor shifter. That's why you don't have purple wires through bulkhead.
Power is there at switch on but only 1 of the 2 wires, shifter to reverse activates switch ( now on transmission ) = both wires hot, power continues back into the cabin and on to the rear harness.

:violent1:LOL,,,,,so not a real dumb question..lol. I found the 2 purple wires were hooked up to a switch on the column at floor......:violent1:Yep,thats it. They dont go anywhere. This is what i just did,,,,,, I attached the black wire from NSS to the black wire at kick panel (power source ) i used the black with white tracer and hooked it up to the violet at kick panel:cheers:They work, well of course with the lights on. SO!!!!!!They work with the lights on and only in reverse. TIME FOR A BEER !!!!!!!!! Now i guess all i need is to hook up the one wire to a power source other then the rear lights. Thanks everyone, dont ask how i came up with the idea,LOL.....Luck i guess:burnout::burnout: SOON I hope!!!!!!!!
