Got ahold of the seller and he tells me its short and shifts from the top, with no external linkage so that means its a NP435 and won't work at all in an a body..?
Right! What RRR said. They did not put the 4 speed OD in the early trucks. I am not sure what year they appeared but I think it is Early 80's and maybe the late 70's. I am aware of one that is/was in a you pull it yard and they get about $150. But if you don't have a manual car you get into clutch pedals and Z bars and everything else.
