Does anyone know if a quadrajet carburetor will work on the Chrysler spread bore intake manifold or has anyone ever used one or tried to? Screw the thermalquads. Plastic crap

Thinks guys. The quadrajet is coming off a buddies Chevy. Will I need to do any modifying to the linkage

Now that is something you will have to see for yourself once you get it.

Well for starters chebbies don't have a KD system. And I think they are engineered for a rear-pulling return spring. And IIRC they are a little taller. And of course you will need to fab up a new fuel-line, and then you have to deal with the chebbie jetting, unless you don't mind being chebbie slow.....lol
When you go to do the fuel-line you will probably find that you will also need the chebbie air cleaner.Which, as you may know, are designed to mute the the secondary roar, at the expense of WOT tire-frying hp. So if your MOPAR turns into a chebel, now you know why.
All kidding aside, Spreadbores are the best.

OK awesome for the replys I'm just trying to get my car going. I'm have just problems and no luck with the crappy 2bbl and can't get it to run barley.

You got that right...we refer to them as "thermo-bogs"..

The Q jet on my B350 Plymouth uses a bracket I cut off of a lowly BBD and welded to the throttle shaft so everything stayed the same.

The Quadrajet is a good choice for vehicles that don't get driven a lot. They don't have the X-ring well seals that can dry out and shrink or diaphragm accelerator pumps that get hard and crack like the power valves do also. The AFB and Quadrajet are good choices for cars that sit a lot for these reasons.

I agree to a point and they do have their place but just like VS carbs, I don`t personally run em or suggest em on anything..............Taking over the world one carb at a time..........ThumperCarb.......

I agree. I have used and built a many of Q-jets over the last 45 years. Simple in there operation and perform good.
