4 door bench seat into a 2 door bench?

Hello, i found the perfect bench seat for my 72 dart swinger.... except it appears to be from a 4 door because it doesn't fold down ... can this seat be modified into a folding down bench seat?

The seat in my 72 dart 4 door has a piece shaped like a figure 8 on each side that prevents the seat backs from pivoting forward, remove the pieces and the backs will fold forward like a seat from a 2 door but there will be nothing to lock the seat backs from pivoting forward.
