A stock Mopar fan came apart?
Yep, at about 5k it let go and one entire blade apparently left the zip code.
It snapped off right where the blade arm met the hub and it also darn near tore the motor mounts off before it idled back down from being off balance.
After that I started making sure I wasn't inline with the blades when I revved it and a week or so later I had a ratchet roll over on the top of the battery and shorted the pos post to the body and the battery exploded right in my face where I was leaning over the fender.
At first I thought the fan got me because of the week earlier.
One cap put a dent in the hood and another one hit an overhead electric supply for the house and the wire was bouncing around all the way down to the next pole.
My Dad heard the boom and came running out to see what it was and the next thing I know I got picked up like a mother cat does a kitten and my feet never touched the ground again until he was splashing water in my face from the faucet outside.
I was pretty glad he was there when that one happened because I couldn't see crap.
