Lookie what I got today!
5 mag wheel covers, 4 Plymouth and 1 Dodge.
One of the Plymouth covers, some idiot tried to "get the lug nut off."
I took one apart and the center with the spokes is one piece, the black background with the chrome outer ring is the other.
They are in exceptional shape.

So, does anyone have a Plymouth mag cover they want to trade for a Dodge mag cover?

If not, I might have to cut the Dodge one up, as finding Plymouth covers is very difficult.

Does anyone know exactly what black, grey, and silver was used?

The grey center and silver spokes are pretty good, but the black could use a re-spray, and once I polish the chrome they should shine.

Can't you take them apart? I'm pretty sure you can cause the out ring has stainless trim and the mag part is potmetal....maybe the part with the lugs can be swapped with the Dodge one? I have had some of these, the Plymouth ones are way harder to find! Also, I believe these only fit the wider 14 rims, nice score!

I would think that once you remove the spoke assembly from the base, you would find screws that hold the center Plymouth and Dodge emblems in place. Then you could just switch the emblems with the good Dodge wheel cover.

This is an old thread, I just wanted to bump it because I have a set I would like to refresh. They came apart easily and the black looks to be a satin. I have light argent left over from my rally wheels, maybe I should shoot 1 spoke and see how it looks.

Wow, it is old lol

also, anyone know the orange finish on the Bullitt style wheelcover center cap? W15 deep dish cover.

It looks a lot like the Magnum 400 emblems from my 72 Charger. These are 440 but same deal... I used the fluorescent marker spray paint...

The center emblem is part of the spokes/lug nuts. It is all one piece.
The background and trim ring is the other piece.

The orange cap I referred to is from the "Bullitt" wheel cover. I have a set of those also and the orange is softer, more of a creamsicle orange than a florescent.
