Hi all
After being involved with street rods for the last 30 years, it was due time to get back into my real passion....old Mopars. I always had soft spot for Darts after having a 67 GT and then a 69 Swinger 340. My goal was to have a 68 GTS to complete the package. As it turns out fate put me in the right place at the right time and a 69 GTS 340 convertible is now in my possession. I have always been a club or group type of guy who likes to share and absorb information, so I am glad to be part of this forum.

Welcome. What's the story behind the GTS 'vert? Canadian car did you import it from the States?

The guy who had it had bought it from out east years back. The car was originally from Virginia. My good friend had a neighbor who had just moved in who asked him about what he thought was the best way to sell an old car he had. My friend called me immediately and the deal was made.

You got to love that,,,,no searching or anything. Welcome to FABO. Love to see some pics of the collection.

Welcome, enjoy the site, there is a lot of good reading and help if you need it.

How true, luck played a large part in this. I had placed adds on Kijiji with little success. Then to find it less than 5 blocks from my house. I am extremely happy.

Thanks to all for the warm welcomes. Car is safely parked in the garage, now waiting for some decent weather here in Edmonton, AB. I strongly believe the summer will be a lot of fun. Hope to get some pictures out soon.

Welcome Paintguy from Sherwood Park, sounds like you scored with your 69 vert, love see some more pictures. Lots of great members in the area and the ones I've met are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately my project just went up on the spit so I don't have anything to drive :cry:

Just got the plates and doing some pre-drive stuff. I like to do the oil, plugs and fluids change thing just so I know it's current. Got the Amsoil oil with zinc so should be good to go. Did just notice that my left taillight and signal isn't consistently working. Seems about a few or 3 decades ago my 69 Swinger did the same thing. Just can't remember what it was, thinking it was the turn signal switch wiring or something. Gave the wires on the column a little shake now it's consistently not working...LOl Any ideas from you guys on possible things to look at?
