Oops, I meant to say trans swap and engine swap at the same time, but the driveline is also getting changed to the heavier yokes and U joints style.
By the time I get done (ha, done:D) I'll have to do what the airlines jets do.
Throttle up to speed and let off about half way there to come in for a landing.
(OEM freeway gearing, 15 inch 70 series tires with a 4 speed OD and converter lock up)
I used to turn 2,800 at 80 on the freeway, and now it will be in the range of 1,850 -2,000 rpm's. (almost a 1k drop in RPM at 80)
Apparently there in a 30% reduction in RPM's is what I'm seeing with this trans over the 904.
