anyone using spool mounts on a magnum motor?, I am putting a 5.2 magnum in a 73 dart ,can I use my old spool mounts or do I need different mounts . THANKS FOR ANY INFO

magnum takes 360 mounts I believe. We just use Schumacher so havent tired factory la stuff.
 
which shumacher mounts /6 to small block or 273-360 replacement mounts ? and year range must vary for car your using , just trying to pin down before buying new mounts thanks

Best you pm us and get the phone # so you can talk to J. He deals with all the web site/sales stuff. I deal with wire harnesses, pcm flashes, cam design and fuel system design. We will be in shop after 9 am pacific time
 
i already have factory small block v8 spool mounts, for 73 v8 k member, thought maybe somebody would have an idea if they work . all the sights list same spool mount numbers for 318,340,360, not looking to buy new mounts if not needed.thanks for the info
 
273/318 take different mounts then 340/360. If you have a set off a 340/360 LA motor then you're good, as all Magnums take that style. If you have 273/318, you'll need new mounts.

If you look at the Schumacher site for slant 6 to small block V8 conversion mounts, they list one for the 273/318 and a different one for 340/360.

thats correct, we have them on the shelf and can probably make a special deal for FABO on those but you would have to call and talk to J, he does all the pricing and web stuff. magnummopar.
 
thanks for the info ,I get it now ,340/360 mounts, I didn't notice two different sets of mounts, I beat that one up lol
 
ok a quick update, emailed Schumacher, factory spool mounts will bolt in no mods, or there kit 73pla as mentioned earlier will work , Schumacher great response and sell a great product, will check condition of my mounts when I pull motor, thanks everyone for responses.
