I am looking for the hardware with the snap heads for the well cover that hold the chrome trim between the boot well and the trunk lid. Not sure I have googled the right description but have had no luck locating them.

If you're referring to the snap with the built in screw that is secured to the trim around the back window, I have a bunch of them from 2 converts I parted out.

Yes that is exactly what I am looking for. I guess they are all the same but I forgot to mention I have a 69 Cuda.

I can do that.

EDIT: I should more closely read the post lol! I'll PM you on particulars

If you're looking for the steel fasteners, they are reproduced. Shaped like a flattened 'S' Boot or well trim fasteners. I think RT Specialties has them. Available only in full sets ( as far as I know ).

Not to step on any feet, but any decent upholstery shop will have these. They were $.25 each. Thats where I got mine.

Those really should have the correct length screws. The tip end is captured in the fastener. I'm not sure what effect too long would have on those fasteners.

They had different lengths to chose from. I got the closest to original. That pic is just one I snagged from the 'net for illustrative purposes.

I took the trim off last night (only a couple screws were remaining. Turns out the clips that snap onto the sheet metal under the moulding are also gone. I am assuming these are available as well? Correct term for these?

Those are the "S" clips. They are no longer available. I have been trying to locate them for 6 months with no luck. Restoration Specialties did have them but they are gone and their supplier is no longer producing them. Layson's also lists them but they have been on backorder for well over a year. I believe they used the same supplier as Restoration Specialties. I need them also so if you do locate some please let me know.

I found the snaps with screws in them at the local hardware store. They looked and performed just like the originals.

Thanks. Turns out the snap screws weren't the problem. I can't find the retainer clips anywhere.

Just sharing for now. I can add a pic later if interested....
Son-in-law stopped by a few Sundays ago with a new reproduction radiator for his 89 F 150. From Advance Auto I think. Anyway... In the box were 2 new 'S' clips that hold the lower corners of fan shroud in place. Nothing wrong with the OEM so new ones were left laying here. A couple days ago I was fecking around here when I noticed these 2 clips. I went to a shelf, grabbed a boot well trim 'S' clip from my 67 vert parts and placed it on the workbench beside the Ford part.
The Ford part isn't quite as wide and it is missing the screw hole. I cant say it definitely will or will not work. I'm only saying if in dire straits, its well worth a closer look.

Thanks. I am open to anything. If you could post a pic I would appreciate it. If they work they could be easier to find.

Pics show the OEM 'S' clip with screw broken off in it, placed between the 2 Ford shroud 'S' clips.
I'll assume these are tempered steel so altering and adding a screw hole would be grinding rather than drilling. The way I see it, we aren't on assembly line so we have time to fiddle feck about hunting a round hole. Thus the OEM slotted hole isn't req'd. I also think the continuous dimple in the middle of there clip was only screw tip clearance, so the screw doesn't open the S. Thus a screw hole larger than the screw would work too. making a hole there would be a challenge.
To prove or disprove any of the above here, Set a ladder, bring down a box containing the trim, more. I'm done,,, for now

You might just be on to something. There is a hole in the top leg correct? If so the shorter snap screws might just miss the center leg.
