I have a 340 bored 30 over Keith Black pistons Edelbrock Performer intake I'm around 425 horsepower what-carb you guys think I need.

425 HP with an Edelbrock Performer with 318 size ports? You sure about that or just hoping?

What's the rest of the combo?

I have 360 heads w 202 and 160 valves my cam is a 292 508 heads were milled to zero deck and ported and polished and a 3angle valve job was done.

Electric fuel pump and holley fuel regulator if that matters.

With today's fitness craze, most people are trying to cut carbs....

You don't mill the heads to zero deck. You mill the block. Was the block milled? Do you know your MEASURED static compression ratio? That cam is a serious hydraulic cam. It lowers cylinder pressure like no tomorrow, so it should have been advanced to down around 100 ICL. Do you know if it was? You may have a 450 HP long block, but IMO that intake will not flow it with what you have. An Air Gap or LD340 probably would.

So, your questions to answer:

Static compression ratio?

Was the BLOCK zero decked?

Where was the camshaft installed? Straight up? Retarded? Advanced?

Sorry block was zero decked car is a 4 speed w 410 gears the cam install i thought was 104 I believe. Scr im not sure of. Rim size is 14" but I can't remember my rear tire size. I know it's wider then my fronts.

IMO the Performer is the dead last intake you need to have on it. That is holding back the whole thing. Air Gap would be great LD340 would be good too. The 750 DP Tony recommended would be good as well. Then you would be closer to 450, but you won't get there without port work on the heads.

I appreciate the help rrr. All input is greatly appreciated. I think I will just save up and upgrade both intake and carb. The heads were ported I just forgot to mention it. Thanks to all!

Well with ported heads and the right intake and carb, you can certainly see around the power you are talking about.

Which 750 holley dp do you recommend rusty. I see there are several options.

I sorta like this one.

If you ever do any street driving, a choke is nice to have. If not, then choose one with the choke area machined smooth.

See what Tony thinks. He actually is a competing racer like RIGHT NOW so his input is probably better.
