Thanks for the great site! Decided to buy another 65 Barracuda. Haven't had one since high school in the 90's. I'll be looking around the site to get my feet wet, but if you have any threads I should not overlook please let me know. Going with a 340 stroker, but I want to do the suspension, rear end and break upgrades first.

Welcome to FABO!!!! Glad to have you on the board.

Lots of great early Barracuda owners around. Search around the threads. If you can't find answers to your questions...just ask!!

Done it all, what do you want to know short of suspension? Cal-tracs, coil overs..yadda yadda. Just put in some 1.00 torsion bars and some good shocks. Exhaust will be a challenge. Brakes are 4 piston KH bolt ons and 10 rears. Stroker not needed with this light car, warm 340/360 with 340 logs, unlimited wheelspin.

Pishta, that's what I was afraid of. I may do a mini tub in addition to pick up better traction.

Welcome. If you owned an early A before you probably already know most of the differences and challenges. If you have any questions just ask....lots of knowledge represented here. Have fun!

Thank you all! I'm super stoked already. ProStocker273, let me know how that mini tub helps out, also, what suspension set up are you running?

Yoyll need to ditch the rear srat or cut it in half and section it as it mounts to wheelwell. Tried it...

Also 8.25 will handle rear unless you want to spend too much on a 8.75 or Dana. Ford 9 will fit too as well as fox 8.8

Nice, was thinking ford 9, mini tub, 4 link. I'll search around to see what doner car to look for.

I also need to spend some time to search out front suspension options and frame strengthening options. Then on to 4 wheel discs. I'm sure this project will be done before im....say...80, hahaha

Welcome it seems if we have one glasshouse we have always wanted another. Not loved by all but the 64-66 are pretty unique cars.

Super stock leaf springs and sliders. Not sure on shocks yet. Then the tallest widest tire I can squeeze in. Axle is a built a body 8.25 with 29 spline axles and newer style limited slip with 4:56 gears. I'm sure it will make a big difference. A 245/60/14 was largest I could fit before and I had 2.76 one leggr and traction was limited.

You aren't in Ohio by chance, are you? Reason I ask, is I noticed a red primered car pop up in a town down there a few weeks ago.
