do these flexplate to converter bolts have washers of any description, or do the bolts just get torqued up with loctite and no washers...Have seen somewhere some type of star washers with these???

No washers and the bolts should have a thin head, otherwise they may hit the block

yea - no washers and I have never used any loctite either - make sure you use the right ones and get them torqued to spec

ARP wants their lube under the head, NO washers. I use blue locktite and torque to 90#s.

Use blue or red lock tight, I have seen them back out on 2 separate occasions.
Blue thread locker will be easier to remove the bolts if needed. If you use red, you need a torch to get them the them loose.

He's talking about the flexplate to converter bolts. No way would they stay in one piece if you torqued them to 90 ft lbs. I think your thinking of the flexplate to crank bolts. FP to converter bolts only get torqued to 18 ft. lbs. I also use blue loctite

It is the same bolt! Am I over torqueing the converter bolts?
Somebody needs to specify if they are talking about the 7/16" bolts or the standard performance OEM 5/16" bolts when suggesting torque specs.

stock bolts are 5/16" with no washer and torque is around 25. some aftermarket units go 7/16" bolt and torque is 60

Good catch. Since most of the stuff I do are standard repairs they use std 5/16 bolts so I automatically think of them.
