Hopefully this thread is less of a headache for everyone involved then the last one I posted. Which by the way thank you to everyone that helped.

Molly officially has a busted rod.

That being said what changes if any do I need to expect and/or parts need to purchase to go from 170 manual to 225?

What should I do/fix/etc. while the motor is out to prevent a headache of fixing later when in?

Does anyone have a running motor laying around that they would like to sell or get rid of in the kansas area... as Craigslist leaves me weary.

Memike in Arkansas has a prefect running one for free....it's a 170 and from a manual trans car....a little farther but worth the trip

I would love to take it however there is no way I could drive 8 hours one way. I very much appreciate his kindness but I work 64 hrs a week.... there's just no way I can make it that far between work and kids.
 
x2 on Memike's engine. It may be a bit of a drive, but it's a good engine.

Rest up and take a long road trip... I've done it myself...
 
Maybe some members could work out a delivery chain for a fair fee?
 
It sure would. I would be the first to volunteer if I lived in the area or on the way. Funny, we get a guy ripped off on Facebook his part from ONE country to ANOTHER, but no one even seems interested to help you.

I'd be happy to go to mikeys place, get the engine and bring it to you. And I'll do it for free (well maybe one beer). I just can't take a 2 days off of work for next 3 weeks (busiest time of the year and my warehouse mgr quit on Monday). If your still looking at that point, I'd be glad to help out.

Holy crap that would be awesome!!! And three weeks is fine. I'm renting out my house and moving to Hutchinson June 1st so drop off will be there instead of wichita. And I will gladly give you some cash and a beer. Let me know a date that works for you and I'll get with Mike and let him know. Thank you again!!!!!!!

That's awesome, as an offer! At least she should easily find,what beer you drink,lol....
 
First time to see this new thread, I will see about separating the trans as soon as I can, I do have surgery on the 31st on this month and I am sure I can have strong bodies here to help Ben get it in his truck, and I will get with Ben and depend on him to keep me updated, in the mean time I will look and see where Hutchinson is.

You all rock!!!! And yes... I can find my way around a liquor store much better then a car. Beer will be plentiful as will my gratitude.
